Me flying to London
Hi Guys! I will be flying to London for the first time on the 8th of next month. I'll only be there for one week, and one weekend.
I was hoping some of you guys would have some recommendations on which club I should go to? I'll be in Bedford, so the closer the better. Also, please let me know which is the best way to travel.
Please mail me with any suggestions: naeem.dollie@gmail.com

Pyrotense
I had a look at some of the comments some of you guys left in the chat box on the right, and noticed a link to http://www.myspace.com/pyrotense. I had a look at the My Space site and came across some brilliant tracks!
I don't know much about Pyrotense, except that he's from the US and produces some pretty impressive hardcore tunes!

The Madness Continues - Psycho Keaton
If you haven't noticed the slight change on the right-hand side of this blog; Mr. Freakstyler himself, Psycho Keaton, now has (once again) another BRILLIANT hardstyle mix available for download. The mix is more than a hour long and titled 'The Madness Continues'.
You can download the mix by simply clicking on the title in this post, or check out the right-hand side of this blog. As we all know, Psycho Keaton never disappoints! Hope you all enjoy (I know you will).

Dark by Design
One week from now the legend, Gaz West aka Dark by Design, will be visiting the mother city - and spinning his records at the same place Phil York was a month ago.
In an old post of mine I mentioned that my all time favourite song is 'It's a Dream' by none other than Dark by Design. So you can only imagine the excitement I'm feeling.
Again; another well known superstar is brought down by Crazy Boy productions, who's certainly proved that they're here to entertain the ravers of Cape Town.
I never mentioned that last week Pump Productions, like Crazy Boy (entertainers), organised an event for DJ Technikal to play at Babbaloos in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Thank you to both Crazy Boy and Pump Productions for keeping the Cape Town ravers entertained!

Hardstyle Kombat 2
I've been busy for the past few days and never got to speak about how HK2 was for me; well finally I do.
Outside of club RAS before entering, I hear the sound I'm so very fond of. With DJ's like Phil York, Psycho Keaton, F3nucci, Schaizer and Elemental - you can only imagine what they did to the crowd with their skill.
Hardstyle Kombat 2 was certainly a night to remember! If you weren't there, you definitely missed out big time! Have a look at some of the pics taken that night:

Hardtraxx.nl interviews Bioweapon
“We do what we do because we love it and have a good time doing it. We focus on satisfying ourselves and writing music for the dancefloor. We always want to change and adapt to constantly keep our music interesting and most of all, ourselves interested in out music!” – Bioweapon
Hardtraxx.nl: Because you guys are relatively new for us, can you tell us about Bioweapon? How did it all started?
Bioweapon: Well, Bioweapon started as a bit of an experiment when we felt like taking a break from our usual 170bpm production. We started on a whim, producing a couple of tunes, eventually falling in love with the genre and everyone else seemed to get behind us!! After slaving away in the studio for what seemed an eternity at a time, Scantraxx got a hold our tunes and its all blown up from there!
Hardtraxx.nl: From UK Hardcore to Hardstyle, is it a big difference? And why you choose for hardstyle?
Bioweapon: Actually, its not so much a big difference. We feel its where UK hardcore should be going, hardstyle has turned more and more into a party music rather than the noise and screeches from a few years ago. That's not to say we’re not into the older material, but we can draw more parallels from the party-hardcore we’re used to do to the hardstyle that is coming out at the moment. We started writing as a challenge to ourselves to better our production techniques and push our knowledge further and further – hardstyle is an extremely well produced and professional genre of a very high standard. We love to challenge ourselves so this is perfect!
Hardtraxx.nl: 19th of September 2009 was the first time Defqon.1 Festival in Australia, how was it to perform? Ever performed on such a big event before?
Bioweapon: We’ve both DJ’d around the world, but nothing has been anywhere near as exciting or as immense as Defqon1 Sydney!
Hardtraxx.nl: How did you guys end up at the Scantraxx label? And how is it like “working” for the Scantraxx label while being on the other side of the world?
Bioweapon: Well it started off with our manager Chris. We knew full well that Scantraxx didn’t accept any demos, but he sent it off on a whim not expecting a reply. When they did reply and said they didn’t listen to many demos and liked what they heard, we were shocked! After much discussion, they wanted a new release from us – which is now Scantraxx Silver 006, pretty amazing stuff!! Being on the other side of the world has its draw backs because we can’t just call the boys up and ask for advice or an opinion, we don’t have that face to face contact which we feel is very important when you are working as a team. But at the same time we have the time and freedom to work on our own which is good. The boys at Scantraxx are really cool and I don’t think we could have been signed by a better label!
Hardtraxx.nl: How do you describe the style of Hardstyle you make?
Bioweapon: Well, coming from our UK Hardcore background, we make party music plain and simple. We want to bring some of the different sounds and vibes from our various experiences into our hardstyle, but ultimately write with the dancefloor in mind. We don’t want to put ourselves into any boxes or for our music to grow stale which is why our sound will always change and evolve. We write for the floor, we write for the parties and that's the best way we can describe our hardstyle.
Hardtraxx.nl: Your bio says you also produce Trance/House and Tech Trance under other aliases. Can you guys tell us something about those aliases and styles?
Bioweapon: We do tech-trance as BRK3 which started off as a project with our good friend Kutski. We we working with him at the time to make something different that we’ve never done before and since then we’ve had a fair amount of success to our complete surprise! FAKE is our electro house project which had taken a back seat to Bioweapon and BRK3, but hopefully we’ll get some time for it later on!
Hardtraxx.nl: How do you think the future of Hardstyle will look like?
Bioweapon: Honestly, I hope it grows and takes over!! Its a very exciting genre right now that's about to explode all over the world.
Guest: So what does Bioweapon bring to the table (what sets you apart) compared to other hardstyle acts and producers?
Bioweapon: We do what we do because we love it and have a good time doing it. We focus on satisfying ourselves and writing music for the dancefloor. We always want to change and adapt to constantly keep our music interesting and most of all, ourselves interested in out music!
Guest: Will you guys focus more on the Australian scene, or can we expect some gigs with Bioweapon here in Holland?
Bioweapon: We’ll go where-ever anyone books us!! Of course, we live in Aussie so it goes without saying that the Australian dancefloors will be on the forefront of our attention, but we want to think big picture and not limit ourselves to one scene or genre for that matter!!!
Guest: When you guys come to a party in Holland, will you guys bring a Kangaroo and put it behind the turntables?
Bioweapon: Goes with out saying!! And some classic Aussie Beers too! :D We love a party and we love to have a good time!!
Hardtraxx.nl: What can we all expect from Bioweapon in the future?
Bioweapon: Lots more dancefloor dancefloor smashers! We’re always working on new tunes, trying to work with new influences and sounds. We can’t divulge much else right now!
Hardtraxx.nl: Some final words for the people who read this interview?
Bioweapon: Have fun!! That's the main thing!!

Hardstyle Kombat 2
I was just looking in my blog post archive, to see whether or not I posted about the best party I've ever been to. Unfortunately this blog didn't exist during that time.
For me, 'Hardstyle Kombat' was absolutely amazing! The sound, the lighting, the DJ's, the guys video taping the party, the fact that I danced on the speakers, and most importantly the music - was all PERFECT!
A long awaited 'Hardstyle Kombat 2', is finally here! On Halloween; Friday the 30th of October at Club R.A.S in Cape Town (voted Cape Town's number 1 club by MTV), international DJ Phil York as well as South Africa's best DJ's will be tearing the dance floor apart with the most amazing sounds.
Here's the DJ line up for the night:
Battle 1: Deaf Penalty (TeknoT) vs Scott Small (Halo/Club33/HO)
Battle 2: Sam Boylan (TraXX Durban) vs Andrew Eastes (TraXX)
Battle 3: Marvin (Hard On / Uni) vs RABS (Uni/Hard On)
Battle 4: PHIL YORK (UK INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR)
Battle 5: Elemental (Xclusive Joburg) vs Psycho Keaton (Hard On/CBP)
Battle 6: DJ Schaizer (East London) vs F3nucci (Crazyboy Productions)
Battle 7: Jo-Kaine (Hard On/Uni) vs Daniel Licht (Xclusive Joburg)
Here's a preview of Hardstyle Kombat:
With a DJ line-up to die for, a great venue, and the best music ever - this is definitely going to be the biggest party of the year! So if you find yourself on Halloween night in Cape Town, be sure to get your ass at RAS!

Q-Base 2008: Scary Track
Are you scared?
You shouldn't be scared
It's just a scary track
Scary track, watch your back
You might get a heart attack
Fear the things you don't expect
That's my aphrodisiac
Like it when you're unprepared
Love it when I make you scared
Now it's time to say your prayer
Scary track, hell yeah!

Kiddstock 2009 - North Wales
This month the Kiddstock festival will be taking place on the island of Anglesey in North Wales. The sounds of this event will be controlled by well-known world class DJ's, allowing the crowd to go completely insane.
- The warlocks of hardstyle will be playing back2back with wizards of the UK scene - Scantraxx VS The Prophet.
- Evil Activities will be hammering the crowd with their underground Dutch hardcore. They've played at all Q-Dance events.
- Coldplay's 'Nobody Says It Was Easy' was transformed into a much more brilliant tune by Dark Lords of Hardstyle who will be turning Anglesey inside out with their black magic.
- This hard trance DJ has been waiting a long time to play at Kiddstock. Germany's Scot Project is going to show the crowd what hard trance is all about.
- As we all know, Lisa Lashes is the queen of hard dance. She's going to be demanding the Anglesey to move along with her dangerous sounds.
- Clinic and Ravers Reunited will be battling each other with fatal weapons of hardcore.
These are just a few of the names that will be entertaining the crowd of North Wales.

This is what I am...
"Our emotional state of choice is ecstasy. Our nourishment of choice is love. Our addiction of choice is technology. Our religion of choice is music. Our currency of choice is knowledge. Our politics of choice is none. Our society of choice is utopian though we know it will never be.
You may hate us. You may dismiss us. You may misunderstand us. You may be unaware of our existence. We can only hope you do not care to judge us, because we would never judge you. We are not criminals. We are not disillusioned. We are not drug addicts. We are not naive children... We are one massive, global, tribal village that transcends man-made law, physical geography, and time itself. We are The Massive, One Massive.
We were first drawn by the sound. From far away, the thunderous, muffled, echoing beat was comparable to a mother's heart soothing her child in a womb of concrete, steel and electrical wiring. We were drawn back into this womb, and there, in the heat, dampness, and darkness of it, we came to accept that we are all equal. Not only to the darkness, and to ourselves, but to the very music slamming into us and passing through our souls; we are all equal. And somewhere around 35Hz we could feel the hand of God on our backs, pushing us forward, pushing us to push ourselves to strengthen our minds, bodies and our spirits. Pushing us to turn the person beside us to join hands and uplift them by sharing the uncontrollable joy we felt from creating this magical bubble that can, for one evening, protect us from the horrors, atrocities, and pollution of the outside world. It is in that very instant, with these initial realizations that each of us was truly born.
We continue to pack our bodies into clubs, or warehouses, or buildings you've abandoned and left for naught, and we bring life to them for one night. Strong, throbbing, vibrant life - in its purest, most intense, most hedonistic form.
In these makeshift spaces, we seek to shed ourselves of the burden of uncertainty for a future you have been unable to stabilize and secure for us. We seek to relinquish our inhibitions, and free ourselves from the shackles and restraints you've put on us for your own piece of mind. We seek to rewrite the programming that you have tried to indoctrinate us with since the moment we were born. Programming that tells us to hate, that tells us to judge, that tells us to stuff ourselves into the nearest and most convenient pigeon hole possible. Programming that even tells us to climb ladders for you, jump through hoops, and run through mazes and on hamster wheels. Programming that tells us to close our minds, instead of open them.
Until the sun rises to burn our eyes by revealing the dis-utopian reality of a world you've created for us, we dance fiercely with our brothers and sisters in celebration of our life, or our culture, and of the values we believe in: Peace, Love, Freedom, Tolerance, Unity, Harmony, Expression, Responsibility and Respect.
Our enemy of choice is ignorance. Our weapon of choice is information. Our crime of choice is breaking and challenging whatever laws you feel need to be put in place - to stop us from celebrating our existence...
But know that while you may shut down any given party, on any given night, in any given city, in any given country or continent on this beautiful planet, you can never shut down the entire party. You don't have access to the switch, no matter what you may think. The music will never stop. The heartbeat will never fade. The party will never end!

'Freak the Style' and 'Project Hardcore'
I had a wonderful time this weekend at F.T.S! The music was fuckin' awesome, as usual. Thanks a lot CrazyBoy Productions - You guys organize GREAT parties.
Psycho Keaton handed out his new CD on Saturday to fellow hardstylers that attended F.T.S. His CD consists of not only one mix, but two. I've had a listen to both mixes and all I can say is... FUCKIN' BRILLIANT! - as usual.
'Freak the Style' is really great! But 'Project Hardcore' is even better (my opinion)! 'Project Hardcore' is not your typical Psycho Keaton mix. It's something different, something HARD - and Keaton would really appreciate any feedback on this mix. So if you've had a listen, send me your comments, or simply comment on this post. Both mixes are available for download on this blog (on the right-hand side).
Also, Keaton's 'Hell Night' now made it live on TrackItDown. Well done Keaton! Representing SA...

Nothing Else Matters
So close, no matter how far,
Couldn't be much more from the heart,
Forever trusting who we are,
And nothing else matters,
Never opened myself this way,
Life is ours, we live it our way,
All these words I don't just say,
And nothing else matters,
Never cared for what they do,
Never cared for what they know,
But I know
Couldn't be much more from the heart,
Forever trusting who we are,
And nothing else matters,
Never opened myself this way,
Life is ours, we live it our way,
All these words I don't just say,
And nothing else matters,
Never cared for what they do,
Never cared for what they know,
But I know

Hardstyle Heaven!
This weekend Club Liquid will be welcoming back the true FREAKSTYLER, Psycho Keaton.
Earlier in the week an event popped up on Facebook - Psycho Keaton Returns. This was very short notice, and many people would not have attended if it was your average party. But as soon as they read that Keaton was back - the word spread fast. Now there are LOADS of people attending!!!
Hardstyle Heaven is going to be a - 'hell of 'night'...
